Egyptians decorated their lips and eyelids with crushed gemstones and bugs, in order to display their social status. Since then, lip color has been used all around the world for beauty. In 1923, the first swivel tube was sold; studies have shown that sales increase on rainy or overcast days. Don't leave home without your lipstick!
